The most common 80/20 mistakes (and how to fix them fast)
✔️ Your Daily Habit Challenge: Follow The 80/20 Rule
By now, you know the 80/20 Rule works. it’s simple, flexible, and sustainable.
But even with a system this doable, most women still run into a few roadblocks.
So today, I want to walk you through the 3 most common mistakes I see (and how to fix each one fast).
Mistake #1:
You have a weekend away, enjoy dessert, or skip a workout and suddenly, you feel like you ruined everything.
But the truth is: you can’t ruin progress with one meal.
One choice doesn’t define your week (the pattern does.)
The reality is that you didn’t blow it.
You simply made a choice that fits your 20%.
Now get right back to your 80%.
Mistake #2:
You don’t need hours to eat healthy (you just need a few smart meals planned.)
When you have quick “Plan B” meals ready, balance becomes automatic.
Examples:
Protein smoothie with fruit
Greek yogurt and nuts
Rotisserie chicken + frozen veggies
So you don’t need more time to eat healthy or lose weight… you just need a plan thats going to allow you to make fewer decisions.
A little planning goes a long way.
Mistake #3:
Many women fear that if they allow flexibility, they’ll lose control.
But that fear comes from years of restriction (not from who you are.)
When you include your favorite foods regularly, your brain stops seeing them as “off limits.”
The urge to overeat fades because nothing is forbidden anymore.
Here’s what this means for you
You don’t need to fix everything if your looking to lose weight and/or improve your health
You just need to keep practicing balance (and these small mindset shifts will make it easier every week.)
Every time you respond with awareness instead of guilt, you’re winning.
Every time you make a “good enough” choice instead of chasing perfect, you’re building a habit that lasts.
A small step you can take today is
Pick one of these reframes that hit home for you and repeat it for the rest of the week.
The next time that thought pops up,
“I blew it,” “I don’t have time,” or “I can’t trust myself,”
pause and remind yourself: I’m learning balance, not perfection.
That’s the real goal.
Much love,
Coach Anthony
