It’s Not Your Fault You Haven’t Been Able To Stay Consistent
Habit of The Week #7: How to Finally Stay Consistent and Lose Fat for Good
If you’ve ever felt like you do great for a few weeks and then everything falls apart — you’re definitely not alone.
I hear this from women every single day:
“I start strong, but I can’t seem to stick with it.”
“I know what to do — I just don’t do it.”
“I’m tired of starting over.”
And after years of working with women just like you, here’s what I can tell you with full confidence:
It’s not your fault.
You’ve just been following weight loss advice that was never designed for your kind of lifestyle.
Let’s break down why staying consistent has been so hard:
1️⃣ - You’ve been trapped in the all-or-nothing cycle.
You’ve been taught that if you’re not doing everything “perfect,” you’re failing.
So the moment you miss a workout or eat something “off plan”, you spiral into guilt and give up.
Perfection is fragile.
But consistency is flexible.
If you can stay consistent 80% of the time, you’ll see 100% better results than the woman who’s perfect for two weeks and quits.
2️⃣ - You’ve been living in survival mode.
You’ve been holding everything together for everyone else (work, family, aging parents, schedules, expectations.)
So it’s no wonder you’re exhausted 24/7.
When your energy is low and your plate is full, willpower won’t save you.
You need a system that fits your lifestyle instead of fighting against it.
That’s what I help women build inside my 1:1 coaching program.
We work together to come up with a fat loss plan that adapts to your seasons of life instead of demanding you to adapt to the plan.
3️⃣ - You’ve been trying to earn results instead of build them.
You push harder, restrict more, and try to make up for every “bad day.”
But your body doesn’t need punishment — it needs consistency.
You can’t earn results through extremes.
You build them through repetition.
4️⃣ - You’ve been waiting for the perfect time.
“When work slows down.”
“When the kids are older.”
“When life finally calms down.”
But that “perfect time” never comes.
Life doesn’t pause — it just changes shape.
The only time that’s ever truly available to you… is now.
5️⃣ - You’ve been carrying guilt for putting yourself last.
You’ve spent years taking care of everyone else.
And somewhere along the way, you started to believe that taking care of you was selfish.
It’s not selfish and your family doesn’t need a perfect version of you.
They need a healthy, happy, energized version of you.
Taking care of yourself isn’t taking away from them… it’s how you keep showing up for them at your best every single day.
The truth is, you’ve never lacked discipline.
You’ve just lacked a plan that was built for YOUR specific lifestyle.
And once you stop chasing perfection and start focusing on consistency, everything changes.
Fat loss stops feeling like a fight and starts feeling like freedom.
Tomorrow, I’ll show you the exact 5-step system I teach my clients so you can start building that consistency and feel confident again, even on your busiest days.
But for now, I want you to take 30 seconds and think about this:
Which of these struggles feels most true for you right now?
Naming it is the first step toward changing it.
Much love,
Coach Anthony
