Stop Overcomplicating Your Diet - Just Start Here
Habit of The Week #5 | Your Daily Habit Challenge: Eating Enough Protein
If you’ve been stressing over hitting the perfect protein number, tracking every bite, or feeling like you’re “failing” when life gets messy… take a deep breath 😮💨.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to start.
Here’s where most women get stuck (and none of it means you’ve done anything wrong):
Skipping breakfast — starting your day with coffee or carbs only leads to mid-morning crashes and cravings.
Fearing protein will make you bulky — it won’t. It helps you look leaner, firmer, and more defined.
Chasing perfection — one missed meal doesn’t erase your progress. What matters is what you do most of the time.
These habits are easy to fall into because that’s what diet culture has taught women for decades (eat less, move more, and restrict harder.)
But the truth is…
Your body isn’t working against you; it’s protecting you.
When it doesn’t get enough protein, it slows down to conserve energy.
That’s why you feel tired, hungry, or stuck no matter how “healthy” you try to be.
Once you start giving your body the fuel it actually needs, everything changes:
Your energy levels rise.
Your cravings calm down.
Your metabolism wakes back up.
You start feeling in control again (not because you’re trying harder, but because you’re finally eating in a way that supports your body.)
So if you take one thing away from this entire week, let it be this:
You don’t need to hit 130g on the dot.
You don’t need to weigh, measure, or stress.
You just need to do a little better than yesterday.
That’s progress.
And it adds up faster than you think.
Take a moment today to pause for a moment and reflect:
How do you feel when you eat more protein (more full, more focused, more energized?)
Those small shifts you’ve made this week are already paying off, even if you haven’t noticed yet.
But I’d love to hear what’s one change you’ve made this week that’s already helping you feel better?
Hit reply and fill me in!
Much love,
Coach Anthony
